Unable to verify a domain or sender

A sending domain and a sender are separate items. A Pending status does not by itself prove DNS is wrong; check the requested record and use the retry verification action.

Quick checks

  1. Open the correct Sending Domain or Sender section.
  2. Compare the record name and displayed value with the domain's DNS.
  3. Check for spaces or extra characters in the domain/email.
  4. Use Verify again after DNS has been updated.

Possible causes

  • The record does not match the value Mailix displays.
  • DNS was not visible to the system when it checked.
  • You are verifying a sending domain instead of a sender, or vice versa.
  • Sending-server configuration or account permissions do not allow the operation.

Resolution

Keep the active record, correct its value if needed, and wait for DNS to update before verifying again. Do not delete records or create multiple replacements before identifying which record is in use.

Confirm

The status changes to Verified and the sender/domain can be selected in sending configuration.

When to contact support

If the record matches but verification still fails, send the domain, item type, and a status screenshot; do not send a private key or login information.
