Understand click rates and links
Clicks indicate that Mailix recorded a recipient opening a tracked link in a Campaign email.
How is the click rate calculated?
Click rate = Number of unique Subscribers who clicked ÷ Number of Delivered sends
This rate does not use the number of opens as its denominator. A Subscriber who clicks multiple times or clicks multiple links is still counted only once in the click rate.

Total clicks and unique clickers
The report distinguishes between two views:
- Unique clickers: each Subscriber is counted at most once;
- Total clicks: every recorded click event, including repeated clicks.
Therefore, total clicks may be higher than the number of unique clickers.
View the link report
Open the Campaign report, then select Links. This page groups data by URL and displays the total clicks and most recent click time.
Different locations in the email that point to the same URL are aggregated into the same URL row. The link report counts click events, not unique people for each URL.
View the click log
Select Sending logs → Click log to view each event. The log displays the Subscriber, URL, network address, location, and click time; it also supports searching by email, sorting by time, and pagination.
You can select a location in the log to open Click map, or open the Subscriber profile when the record still exists.
How does click tracking affect the data?
Mailix has click data only for tracked links. When click tracking is disabled:
- the send still belongs under Delivered;
- clicks are not recorded in the report;
- the click rate may be lower because the denominator still includes those Delivered sends.
Previously recorded data remains part of the Campaign report.
Is an unsubscribe link treated as a regular click?
The report has a separate Unsubscribe log for identifying unsubscribe actions. Do not use the total clicks under Links to infer the number of people who unsubscribed.
When is click data updated?
Click log and Links read recorded activity; the overview cards use aggregate data with a separate update time. Therefore, the areas may temporarily differ until the overview is refreshed.
Frequently asked questions
Does one person clicking five times increase the click rate five times?
No. That person is counted only once in the click rate numerator, even if the log contains five events.
Is the click rate CTOR?
No. Mailix displays the rate of clickers over Delivered; the verified Campaign report does not include a separate click-to-open metric.
Why does Links have more clicks than Clicked?
Links counts events, while Clicked counts unique Subscribers.
