Add a sending server

You can add your own sending server when your plan allows it. The server types displayed depend on the version, plugins, and account configuration.

Open the Sending servers page

Go to Sending → Sending servers, then select Add server.

Add a sending server — list

Choose a server type

Choose a type on the Choose server type screen. Mailix may display standard SMTP, API-based sending services, Gmail OAuth, or types added by plugins.

Enter connection details

The fields vary by the selected type:

  • For SMTP, they typically include the host, username, password, port, and security protocol.
  • For an API service, they typically include an access key and service-specific options.
  • For Gmail OAuth, save the application details and then complete the Google Account connection.

Enter only information supplied by your provider. Do not share passwords or access keys in documentation, screenshots, or public support requests.

Select Save to create the server. After creation, Mailix opens the edit page so you can complete the configuration.

Complete the server configuration

The edit page is divided into two sections:

  • Connection settings: credentials and connection address.
  • Configuration: administrative name, default sender address, bounce or feedback handler when available, and sending limits.

You can choose a preset limit or set a quantity per minute, hour, or day when the custom option is supported.

Enable or disable the server

A server has an Active or Inactive status. Enable the server only after saving the correct information and testing the connection.

An account can have multiple servers. Campaigns can use the default server group or a selected group; emails in Automations use the account's available servers.

Delete a server

Important: Deleting a sending server cannot be undone in the interface. Campaigns configured to use only that server may be unable to send if no valid method remains.

In the Sending servers list, open the server menu, select Delete, and confirm. If you only want to stop using it temporarily, select Disable instead of deleting it.

When you cannot add or save

Check that:

  • Your plan allows custom sending servers and has not reached its server limit.
  • You have permission to create or edit servers.
  • All required fields for the selected server type have been entered.
  • The port and security protocol match the information from your provider.
